I have no idea where I'd be if I hadn't met you, so I'm so happy that you're a part of my life now. I am thankful my sister found LGBTQ SAVES for me. I have never met such honest loving people who truly care about the youth and parents they serve. Many of our scholarship recipients have gone on to become ambassadors, mentors, and program leaders, continuing the cycle of support for the next generation of LGBTQ youth.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The intent of our scholarship program is to provide support for local LGBTQ youth and allies by investing in their education.

The SAVES Scholarship is intended for active participants in LGBTQ SAVES programs—youth who consistently show up, contribute to our community spaces, and embody the values of authenticity, resilience, and mutual support. 

Applications for scholarships open June 1st- 30th.

Scholarship Amounts
Awards typically range from $250 to $2,500, depending on the number of applicants,

available funding, and the strength of submitted applications.

Submission Guidelines
All materials must be submitted through the online application form by June 30th.

Incomplete applications or those missing required documents will not be considered.

I would not be where I am today, if it wasn't for you and the other youth at LGBTQ SAVES. I'm so grateful for you being introduced to me. LGBTQ SAVES (Students, Allies, Volunteers, Educators, Support) was born.

Meanwhile, Sharon, in collaboration with Tom Anable, David Henderson and Jon Nelson, gay activists and leaders of Fairness Fort Worth, challenged the Fort Worth Independent School District to add a Non-Discrimination Policy. is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions to our organization are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

This agency is going to save and provide help to so many. Sharon knew that with peer and community support she could save lives and build a network of passionate and caring individuals to help LGBTQ youth and their allies in Tarrant County. LGBTQ S.A.V.E.S tax identification number is 81-2693106.

SAVES volunteers funded the organization out of their own pocket while hosting meetings and events where they could.
